We built picnic tables, benches, adirondack chairs and even sheds in our Teen Camp Build Program in an effort to introduce philanthropy to girls at risk this summer.

This fall we will be building with some of our teen girls from The Circle Program as well as other teen groups in our Teen Community Build Program.

We will maintain an ongoing list of items needed for area soup kitchens and shelters and the teen girls will build these items in our shop! They will not only be empowered through building but also through giving to those in need.

Our first project is lockers for New Horizons Shelter. You can sponsor both a young girl building as well as a locker for those in need for $100.00.

Here we grow again! Girls At Work is in the process of developing new programming to reach more groups including:

• Programming for women in prison
• Programming for women in transitional housing
• Programming for women in group homes
• Birthday parties
• Teen Community Build
• Working with girls with disabilities
• Partnering girls and the elderly
